Learning

I’m still working on the shawl I started way back when. She’s coming along, slowly by surely. It’s my first real knitting project and I’ve had to improvise – a lot. If you remember, I set my sights very high and of course the pattern was too advanced for my lack of experience. I knew it would be but I still wanted to give it a try. I had to start over three times before I gave up and changed to easier stitches. Anyway, here she is so far.

  1. It is so funny that you say that. Last night I announced to my husband that I was going to learn how to knit this year. I seriously have been avoiding it b/c I do NOT need another addiction. Any who- so I totally don’t want to do some lame project. I want to do something way awesome and WAY complicated. I always set my sites too high. Will be writing about the quilt hopefully today!!!

  2. knitting is on my list of things i want to do this year. i’ve not started yet, but i finished the last crochet afghan in progress a few days ago…time to pull out the knitting needles and give it a whirl. i long for someone to watch…i learn so much better that way.

your shawl looks lovely to me…and i am a shawl person.

you continue to inspire me, Renee.
